Fall Ethics Workshop


Lianna Erickson-Trembath, LCPC, ACADC

Lianna is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Registered Clinical Supervisor. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling with an addiction and school emphasis from Boise State University. She is a Qualified Professional with an Advanced Certified Alcohol and Drug certification. Lianna is also a Nationally Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors. Her undergraduate degree is in Communication from Minnesota State University, Mankato, which infuses her counseling practice with a quality of skillful mastery, allowing her clients to feel understood and valued. Because Lianna believes strongly in excellent self-care, she is able to easily transmit to those in her care numerous effective methods of elevating body, mind, and spirit. She passionately pursues leading-edge therapeutic modalities and continues to advance her education and ability. Lianna feels extremely connected to nature and loves to travel with her husband, daughter, and family pets enjoying the outdoors while camping, hiking, and riding her motorcycle.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will gain knowledge of the ASERVIC Spiritual Competencies and ACA Code of Ethics regarding spirituality and religion in the counseling relationship. 

  • Participants will learn how to systematically access the couples/families’ religious or spiritual faith, preferences and potential conflicts.

  • Participants will learn the importance of demonstrating respect for and using the couple or family’s religious or spiritual beliefs to establish the therapeutic relationship. 

  • Participants will learn how to assist their client’s to investigate with their partner/family member the strengths, support and opportunities of their religious or spiritual beliefs.

  • Participants will observe an intervention and give feedback and be able to ask questions through the process.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

If a registrant is unable to attend an event for any reason they may substitute, by arrangement with IDASERVIC, someone else to attend in their place.  Where the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer their place to another person, then the following refund arrangements apply:

  • Registrations cancelled prior to 45 days of the event are eligible for an 75% refund of the registration fees paid. The remaining 25% of the fee contributes to administration costs incurred.
  • Registrations cancelled less than 45 days before the event are no longer eligible for a refund.
