Counselors receive feedback starting early in their training, and throughout their career. Corrective feedback is a major aspect of counselor supervision. Feedback impacts self-efficacy, which is an important component in counselor effectiveness. The focus of this presentation will be on new research on corrective feedback, and practical modalities of providing adequate feedback in supervision. Implications for supervisors and counselor educators will be discussed.
