SUMMARY:
Internal Family Systems. (IFS) is a powerfully transformative, evidence-based model of psychotherapy. It is easy to identify with the experience of wanting to do something and yet also feeling as if there's another part of us that is hesitant or even afraid to take that step. We may wonder why a part of us just seems to sabotage relationships or other new opportunities for growth and happiness. And so many people can relate to the internal battle of various addictions. IFS teaches that the mind is naturally multi-faceted and that this is a good thing. Our inner parts contain valuable qualities and our core Self knows how to heal, allowing us to become integrated and whole. Developed by Richard Schwartz, IFS is literally sweeping the international world of psychotherapy as its popularity with therapists continues to explode around the world. One of the exciting strengths of this theoretical approach is that it is such a natural fit for clinicians and clients alike, bring powerful and transformative healing to a wide range of clinical issues.
