Session 2: What’s Really Going On? Untangling Mild TBI/Concussion from Mental Health and Building the Right Team (1.5 CEs, Boundaries)

Learn how to work with this underdiagnosed and overlooked population in our series on mTBI/Concussion. Shauna Smith, MS, CCC-SLP and Brian Smith, LCPC will present tangible skills to improve your assessment and treatment of all your clients, especially the ones "hidden in plain sight". 

Course Objectives: 

  1. Learn specific assessment and intake questions and techniques to screen for mTBI.

  2. Identify professional boundaries in performing the typical referral process and techniques to help client engage with interprofessional team.

  3. Learn what an SLP does and how to collaborate for mutual reinforcement of treatment goals.
